Publishing ~ or ~ I finished the story, now what?

To begin, you need to ask yourself some questions:

Who was my target audience in writing this story?

What formats does my target audience read?

Who is already publishing for that audience? (include both publishers and authors in this answer)

What do I need to do in order to publish in this format?

What level of copyright protection do I want or need?
